Ronette's loss has caused us to pause and take a deep breath. I remember when she first joined the OLOL team. She was a personable young woman who at first, struggled to find her way within the OLOL family. She captured the hearts of three seasoned ladies, Loretta, Sundra, and myself. I named her Baby Girl. She was so polite, she said yes ma'am and no ma'am and thank you. Along with politeness, she displayed a teachable spirit. She listened to the advice of a group of seasoned women who cared for her, and she eventually found her way in the OLOL family. We knew when she wasn't being as open to all the nuggets of advice that were given to her, because during those times, she would just smile and say, yes ma'am. We knew during those times, that the adventurous Ronette had politely tuned us out! It didn't matter whether she was open to what we seasoned ladies had to say or not, because we watched as she blossomed and we were so proud of her. Her loss is sobering. Just to think that this young woman said to someone on the day that she left us, I'll see you later, or I'm on my way, or check with you tomorrowleaving us all to wonder about this here today, gone today world that we live in. She leaves with us memories of her infectious love for TaTa, her bigger than life smile, her adventurous spirit, and her I will conquer the world attitude. We will miss our Baby Girl.
