JOHNSON Rosa (Rose) Lee Shaw Johnson was born on September 14, 1959 in Sicily Island, Louisiana to Lucy Stovall Shaw Fleming and the late Mitchell Shaw. After living a loving, joyful and adventurously filled life she entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 17, 2014. She worked 26yrs at L.H. Hayward where she enjoyed her profession. She also enjoyed spending time with her family as well as gardening, dancing and just living life. Rose Lee Shaw Johnson was a loving daughter of Lucy Fleming, companion Johnny Owens, loving mother of Rogina Shaw, Iris Shaw, Rumiko Jones and Wendell Shaw a.k.a. "Her Babies", sister of Amanda Collins, Eudora Shaw, Mitchell Counsel and Sam Shaw, niece of Maggie and Tyrone McFloyd and best friend of Marion Sandborn. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Family and Friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Saturday, March 1, 2014 for 10:00 A.M. at Liberty In Christ Christian Church, 10100 River Road, Saint Rose, LA. 70087. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Apostle Tony A. Westley officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mark Cemetery, Providence Lane, River Ridge, LA 70123. This is the last post that will be made before I print out the thoughts and thanks from everyone. Mom you have been a joy to not only my life but also my heart. As I sit here typing these words I find myself getting teary eyed because you are no longer here on this earth. You have truly been missed. Words can not explain the feelings that I feel at this moment. I find myself keeping busy to not think about the lost of you but I know that your in a better place and you don't have the cares of this world to think about anymore. I believe that you are living the ultimate dream life now and I can not wait to see you again. I will also love and cherish the time that we spent together and the memories that we created. I can remember you telling me I remind you so much of yourself. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BUT I KNOW GOD LOVES YOU MORE. GOD allow our mom to be our guardian angel. Love you, mean it, smooches ;)

Tomorrow is the last day that your book will be open but the book inside of my heart will always be open for you I laid on the sofa this morning and was thinking about our life together and all I could do was smile because I KNOW THAT YOU LOVE US FOR SURE!!!! It was amazing how the memories just flowed and I am blessed to have you as a mother. All the lets walk outside and talk for a minute I loved them all and I am so glad that I know I showed you in my actions the love that I have for you. On my way riding to your service I begin to think and I said I will never get to hear her say what's up G-money again but the GOD that we serve is truly amazing because as I was thinking that HE allowed the words that you say to be in your voice and that is truly amazing!!!! Dear Grandma Rose,
Your were the coolest grandma ever. No matter what was going on in your life you'd always had a smile on your face and would do whatever it took to make us happy.Even if we wanted a frozen cup and you didn't have any money you would always find a way even if its looking trough your purses to find 50 cent. that's something i would always miss about you grandma.I love you so much and id like if you saved a place right next to you in heaven for me and the rest of the family because we will see you soon.
I wish i could have seen you before you entered into heaven but its okay i know you'd be here with us making sure everything is going alright.all the memories and all the laughter things that will last forever.

Sitting here feeling some kinda way.I know that I had to be strong during everything me and my siblings had to do but now I'm home and just thinking about everything and just knowing that I can't call you and hear your voice when I want to makes me cry!!!
