Roy Cardon

CARDON Roy Cardon, 74, a native of Gretna, LA. and resident of Lafayette LA for the past 5 years, died on June 29, 2013, at Lafayette Care Nursing Home. He is survived by his loving an devoted wife of 14 years, Annette Pizani Cardon; son Dean Cardon; former wife, Dolores Macaluso Cardon; stepdad, Annette Frisella, Heidi Pontif, Lyle Pizani, David Pizani, Ashley Alis; 12 Grandchildren, Dustin Cardon, Christian Cardon, Hannah Pizani, Corinne Frisella, Emma Frisella, Grace Pontif, Noah Pontif, Lauren Pizani, Ava Pizani, Brendon Pizani, Jacey Pizani, and Emrie Alis; his brother, Leo Cardon and sister in law Beth Cardon and sister Rita Newby. He is preceded in death by his son Darrin Cardon and his parents Lynn and Amy Cardon. He was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather and husband and will be sadly missed. Roy graduated from West Jefferson High School, worked in Gretna for many years as a barber and later retired from the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court. He was the founder of the Back to the Fifties Jamaica Dance Club, loved dancing and being with friends. He was passionate about the New Orleans Saints and LSU Football. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., corner Westwood Dr. in Marrero on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 9 AM to 1:30 PM.
