Ruth Claiborne Lee entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the age of 97. She was a native of Tallulah, LA and resided in New Orleans, LA. Born to the late Isaiah and Lydia Brown Claiborne. Wife of the late Charles J. Lee, Sr. Mother to David Cooper (Kwon), Patricia Fields, Michelle Johnson (Lawrence), and the late Leon Claiborne, Delores Cannon, Charles Lee Jr., and Kenneth Lee. Also survived by 1 son-in-law Leroy Cannon, Jr. of Beaumont, TX, 1 daughter-in-law Dona Claiborne of Milwaukee, WI, 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of Gr. New St. Luke B. C., Mt. Olive B. C., Gambling, LA, Oakland B. C., Kenner, LA and all neighboring churches, Liberty Bank and Trust, Enrich PCS, and Ouachita Parish School Board are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Greater New St. Luke Baptist Church, 2201 Montegut St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 9:00am.
