we were close in age since I was the youngest and she was the oldest of my oldest sister so I was Uncle Peter. I was honored to accompany her when she was presented at the Bachelor's Club during her debut...escorted by her Uncle. We used to work out together at the Tulane track and she was more like my younger sister. I think only about the good times we had together.

Dear Ed, Sean and Seamus, George and family,
I have such fond and amazing memories of our friendship and activities during the Newman years as classmates. Living in the neighborhood we spent many sleepovers and fun times together. Sorry we lost touch…learned of her illness and was able to reconnect and speak with her on a trip to New Orleans last year. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all – may you find peace as you reminisce on her life and accomplishments. May Sarah's memory always be for a blessing.

So shocked and sorry to read of Sarah's untimely death. She was a couple of years behind me at Newman and then our paths crossed happily several years ago with some theatrical backstage stuff. Prayers to all of you all.

I will always treasure the times we spent together backstage at the old Le Petit Theatre, and the times we had during "Edwin Drood." So sorry to see you go Sarah. Thinking of Nori and your family.

October 21, 2013

George, Bethie, and Nori, Sarah was one of the most delightful, fun, caring, and insightful friends I have ever had. We never talked without screaming with laughter, even when she was sick. She loved you three so very, very much. There could have been no prouder mother. She was an important part of my life in New Orleans. I will miss her.

Dear Sarah,
I want to write to you- since I knew you the most of your family members. I was totally shocked when I saw your beautiful face in the newspaper last night. I apologize for not knowing of your illness. You and I met as parents at Ben Franklin- your Nori and my Clay were in the same class - and enjoyed doing "Leader of the Pack" as you and I did too!
You were so kind and caring. You loved the fact that I knew your Dad when I was in high school - he coached all of the "boys" at my church and I went to ALL NEWMAN games it seems! We had a great time in our Franklin Falcon years. I am grateful that you were in my life. I treasure your friendship. I am so very sorry for the loss that all of your family feels at this time and will always feel. You were a kind and gentle soul, my sweet friend. With Love from Candy Ulmer (Kirby) Cranch and the Kirby Family
