Saundra K. Jaggers Powers

Saundra K. Jaggers Powers of Gretna, LA passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lisa Ann Powers and son William C. Powers, III, and husband George M. Powers. Saundra is survived by her daughter Lolita Guyllette (Daniel), granddaughter, Christina M. Adams (Jason), great granddaughter, Sophia Lynn Adams, great grandson Nathan Williams Adams and Jensen Joseph Adams, sister Peggy Andrews, and brother Lawrence Jaggers, nieces, nephews and many friends. Saundra was born in Bedford, IN to Edward R. Jaggers and Alice M. Jaggers. After high school, Saundra joined the Air Force. She was assigned to Biloxi, MS where she met her husband George. After leaving the Air Force, she worked several jobs when she found her calling to work for the government Civil Service as an accountant. She was a Civil servant for over 30 years when she retired in 1997. When she retired they moves to Slidell, LA until 2016. She then moved to Gretna, LA to be close to her family. Saundra was well traveled and well versed in many things. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and grandmother to her family and will be truly missed.
