Scott Arthur Elstrott

Scott Arthur Elstrott passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Harahan, surrounded by his family after a difficult battle with lung cancer. He loved his position as a welder with Textron Marine and Land Systems, which he held for 33 years. During that time he made many cherished lifelong friends. Scott always had a smile on his face and enjoyed fishing, camping, family functions, neighborhood gatherings, relaxing with his Bud-Lite, and was known to boil the best crawfish. The love he had for his friends and family was indescribable and he will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him. Scott is survived by his beloved wife for 33 years Dianna McGuire Elstrott; his children Scott Arthur Elstrott, Jr. (Monique) and Steven Anthony Elstrott; one sister Melrose Elstrott Brauner (Everett); one brother Calvin Elstrott, Jr. (Cindy); father Calvin Elstrott, Sr. (Dorothy); mother-in-law Marian McGuire; sister-in-law Crystal Verges (George), step-sisters Lisa Pflueger and Connie Johnson; and many other nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Theresa "Tessie" Boudreaux; his brother Mark Elstrott; and father-in-law Vincent McGuire. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001.
