Seferino Tover Sanchez, Jr. age 71, of Floresville, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Jourdanton. He was a hard working man who enjoyed gardening, fishing, eating sweets and caring for his chickens and pigeons. Seferino especially enjoyed being with his family.
He is survived by his children, Frank Sanchez and wife Terry, Gilbert Sanchez, Nora Sanchez, James Sanchez and wife Eileen, Maricela Ramirez and husband Jaime, Jesse Sanchez and wife Miriam and Santiago Jimmy Sanchez and wife Veronica; brother, Ray T. Sanchez, and sisters, Adelfa Ramirez and Esther Maldonado. Seferino is also survived by his twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren, and former wife, Santana Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seferino and Maria (Tover) Sanchez, Jr.; brothers, Rudolfo, Lupe and Juan Sanchez, and sister, Angelita Ybarra.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 373 Madero, Charlotte at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2017. Interment will follow in Charlotte Community Cemetery in Charlotte.
Serving as pallbearers for Seferino’s service are: David Garcia, Jr., Adrian Garcia, Donald Garcia, Ruben Sanchez, Anthony Garcia, Frankie Sanchez, Nathan Sanchez, Ethan Sanchez and Onofre Herrera.
