Sheryl A. Evans-Williams departed this life on Monday, September 21, 2015. Loving mother of Oliver Evans (Trina), Zaire Evans (Maricus) and Shelita Stevens (Sam) all of Baton Rouge, LA. Wife of Marcell Williams. Sister of Janice Smothers (Rodney) of Marrero, LA, Samuel W. Evans (Kim) of Rowlett, TX, and Quwanda Decquir (Paul) of Baton Rouge, LA. Niece of Lynn Brown (Joe) of New Orleans, LA, Carol Shavers Zubolton (the late Ahmos) of Illinois, Ray Shavers (Wanda) of Baton Rouge, LA, Michael Shavers of Virginia, special cousin of Angela Smith-Allen (Rodney) of LaPlace, LA. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-laws, 3 brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Barbara Evans and Willie Hopper, grandparents Robert & Lottie Shavers, two uncles Alfred and Freedie Smith and one aunt Dorothy Smith. Relatives, friends, pastors, officers and members of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Greater New St. Luke B.C., Zion B.C. of Rowlett, TX, Community Fellowship Mission Auxiliary, DFW Community Fellowship Mission, Second Rose of Sharon B.C. and all neighboring churches, employees of Canon Hospice, Marriott Hotel of B.R., LA, Brewbauchers, Burger King of B.R, LA, South Garland H.S. of Garland, TX, Custom Houses by Jim of B.R., LA, are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Pilgrim Rest B.C., 2428 Flood Street, beginning at 10 am.
