BROWN Spencer Ray Brown, departed on Monday, January 15, 2007. Husband of Adell Brown. Brother of Jasper, Loveless, Robert, Cleveland, Claud, Chester, Lester, Elmore, James, Christine, Gustine, Rosie, Reaber, Bernadetta. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and a devoted pet Cinnamon. Age 60. A native of Stockton, Ala. and a resident of Gretna, LA. for 40 years. Relatives and friends of the family also employees of Owensby & Kritikos, Inc., are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Murray Henderson Funeral Home, 1209 Teche Street, Algiers, LA. Funeral Services on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Bay Minette, Ala. Interment in Bethlehem Garden Cemetery Bay, Minette, Ala.

Dear Uncle Spencer,

I'm truly saddened by your death. I was looking forward to us hanging out and laughing again the way that we use to. I'd give anything to hear you say, "what you say" or "no indeed" but I guess you'll have to share those phrases with your new family in heaven. I love you and I'll always remember your great spirit. Rest in peace dear uncle.

Our hearts are filled with sorrow for losing him, our lives much fuller for knowing him. He was a ray of sunshine in our days and losing him will cast a shadow in our lives forever. May you all find peace and comfort in knowing he was loved and will be missed by so many. My deepest sympathy to you all. He was my co-worker, but I am proud say he was my FRIEND.

Spencer was such a great person, He always had a smile to share a very infectious smile. Which would brighten up your day. He will truly be missed. I have known spencer since we were neighbors in King Fredricks Court over 30 years ago.

Giving all praise, honor and glory to the memory of Spencer Brown. I had the opportunity to work with Spencer at Owensby & Kritikos. He was quite the character! Spencer was a hard worker, trustworthy, dependable, and humble in his own way. I'm sure he will be missed by all those who's lives he touched.
