Stanley Hoffman Obituary

HOFFMAN Stanley S. Hoffman, age 80 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Beloved husband of 35 years to Carol Rayner Hoffman. Son of the late Carl F. Hoffman and Dorothy Spiegelhalter Hoffman. Father of Conrad Christof Hoffman, Roy H. Hoffman, Keith Hurt, Maryann Bass and the late Jeffrey D. Hoffman. Brother of John E. Hoffman of St. Louis Missouri. Stanley is survived by 9 grandchildren. He served as a veteran in the US Airforce for 4 years. He was a member of the German Heritage Club of Gretna, LA. Stanley was born in St. Louis, Missouri and was a resident in Harvey, LA for the past 21 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday at the funeral home from 8AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA. Family and friends may view and sign the online guestbook at www.nola.com/obits. Funeral information: 504-366-4343

I am so sorry about the passing of Stan he will be greatly missed. I didn't even know about his passing till yesterday when I went to church at St. Philip's. My GOD bless and keep the whole family in his loving arms.

Stan Hoffman was a very special person for whom I came to have the greatest respect and affection. Although I knew him for only a short time, I came to appreciate him as a man of true decency and profound dignity. I will always fondly remember the time we spent together. Stan was my Father-In-Law and I loved him dearly. He will be missed greatly. He was a very kind and loving man. Liked to joke,tell srories and most of all go out to eat!
