She is a native New Orleanian and a longtime resident of Kenner. She was raised in the Irish Channel and graduated from Redemptorist High School and married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Rogers. Stella retired from Gaitronics as a Customer Service Representative after several decades, at the age of 70. She also worked at Lykes Brothers Steamship Company for many years, as well. She was preceded in death by: her parents Ernesto and Josephina Dominguez; her beloved husband, Kenneth L. Rogers, Sr.; her son, Kenneth Rogers, Jr., and her daughter, Paige Rogers Mann. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah R. Thibodeaux (Steven); her sisters, Ernestine Bird, Marina Ruiz, and Diane Baldwin; her brother, Robert John Dominguez; her grandson, Christian S. Thibodeaux (Kristin); her great-grandchildren, Zachary Thibodeaux and Kaitlin Thibodeaux; and her son-in-law, Thomas Mann. Everyone loved Stella. There is no doubt that the second her heart stopped beating, she was in the arms of Jesus, her beautiful smile even more radiant now as she is reunited with everyone she loved. She was a beautiful, strong woman, always wanting and willing to help anyone-someone who always saw the good in everyone she met. She will be remembered for her loving heart, giving spirit, and unconditional love. Stella will never be forgotten for the special, generous woman she was, always touching lives and making treasured memories. The family would like to give their special thanks to Charles Barnes, her guardian angel on Earth, and the loving staff at Colonial Oaks Living Center. When I heard that Stella passed - I was filled with memories of her and Ken. I am sad she passed but know she is in the loving arms of her soul mate, her true love, Ken. They welcomed us to the neighborhood 35 years ago and we became friends. Stella played my football pool and added all her family. She took up most of the pool. Needless to say, I was always paying her. She was a caring, wonderful lady. Her smile, which she always had, lit up rooms or made you feel better when she would cast one your way. I know I will miss her. Love, Hugs, and prayers.

Ms. Stella was such a beautiful person inside and out. Always loving and positive and generous with her time. Westgate neighbors, classmates and good friends with Paige we were at each other´s houses often, Ms. Stella was encouraging and inspirational to me. Her reaction when I told her that fifteen plus years ago she gave all the glory to God, more inspiration. Thanking the Lord for the blessing of Ms. Stella.
