My name is Maria Mejia. I went to high school with Stephaine at Seton Academy and Redeemer-Seton. She was the kindest person you could ever know. She would make you laugh in a minute. I heard the sad news today about Stephanie and I am still in shock. My prayers goes out to her family and friends. She will be sadly missed!! She's in good hands now!!

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Heim,
My name is Brian Freese, I am the Election Director in Jefferson Parish and I had the true pleasure of meeting your daughter recently. She was one of and handful of election commissioners who answered my pleas for help and became commissioner in charge of Precinct 28 in Metairie. She attended the 7/10/2007 evening session and scored a perfect 20/20 on her test. She was very proud and excited to be involved in elections and her enthusiasm made a distinct impression on me. I mourn your loss and will keep you and Stephanie in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi, My name is David Crain. I worked with Stephanie at the Palace.
She was a very hard working, and caring person, and my daughter Courtney spent a lot of time with her. She was a good friend to both of us, and a great employee that I counted on day after day. Since she left the Palace, I have missed her caring, sense of humor, and loyalty.
The last time I saw her was at the Gladys night performance, she loved things like that. We will miss her.

I prayed for you Today -
Even though I wasn't sure exactly what to say, I talked to God and spoke your name, I prayed for you today.
I asked the Lord to give you strength, to calm you from your stress, to free you from the things you fear, and bathe your mind with rest.
I asked the Lord to help you in the uphill days to come; I asked our precious loving God to complete what he's begun.
He whispered in the quiet and filled my heart with peace. He said that you are deeply loved, that his grace will never cease.

Mr. and Mrs. Heim and Family,
We grieve with you as you mourn your loss and rejoice with you as you celebrate Stephanie's life. I'll remember Stephanie for her kindness, co-operation, and dedication to school. It was such a pleasure to be her home economics teacher at Redeemer-Seton High School and watch her "twirl her flag". She really liked our annual fair tiger butter (peanut butter fudge).

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
