Steve Richards Obituary

Steve Michael "Big Mike" Richards Jr. went from labor to reward on Sunday March 6, 2022. Mike was born on August 23, 1975 to Elizabeth and Steve Richards Sr. and touched everyone with his infectious love and bright smile. Mike was the epitome of a Mama's Boy and the most caring son that a Father could ever ask for. Mike was a loving Father to Dasani Paris Stewart and a doting Grandfather to Dallan Michael Lee Stewart. He attended A.D. Crossman Elementary School, F.W. Gregory Jr. High School and O. Perry Walker High School. To know Mike was to love him and that's an understatement. Mike leaves behind his mother, father, daughter and grandson all of whom are aforementioned, a sister Tymuneka Wallea Richards, a brother Stefven Miguel Richards, his maternal grandmother Albertha Johnson and a host of family and friends. Friends and colleagues of Preferred Caregivers and Sitters, Archdiocese of New Orleans and UNITY of Greater New Orleans and its collaborating agencies are invited to attend the funeral service on March 19, 2022 at 10am at First Shiloh Baptist Church 2507 Perdido Street, Pastor Antoine R. Jacobs. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery 3450 Hwy. 90 West, Avondale, Louisiana 70094. Services entrusted to Professional Funeral Services. "There are no more leaks in the building your soul has moved to a building not made by man's hands."
