Steve was such a close personal friend and one of the best engineers I have had the opportunity of working with. He had the capability of working any technical problem we came across. He also had a unique sense of humor that made working with him such a pleasant experience.
I think Steve was unique, but the best thing that ever happened to him was Rose. She was such a positive influence on Steve and it seemed they were made for each other.
I am having real difficulty accepting the reality of Steve's death. I truly believe that Steve will make the hereafter (wherever it is) a better place.

Steve was a very good man. His Sense of Humor will always be remembered. His ability to resolve a problem to resolution in a short period of time indicated his work ethic. The customer had high respect of his decisions. We both will remember Steve. God Bless you and your family

Steve was my supervisor at Martin Marietta when I started my employment there in 1982. I was fresh out of college & he made my start a very easy one. I couldn't have asked for a better boss. Over the years we also became friends. After I moved away, I frequently visited New Orleans & always made an attempt to visit Steve & Rose in Slidell. I'll never forget him.

Steve was such a fun co-worker years ago when I worked at Lockheed Martin. His good sense of humor brought a lot of laughs to our work and softball teams. If I am remembering correctly, his TPS team was known for playing ball with a drink in one hand, a cigarette in the other, and still making the plays!
I know he will be deeply missed. To Rose, Dawn, and family -- may peace and comfort surround you.

Steve was one of those rare bosses that you could call a friend. Gifted with an unbelievable memory and super intelligent he made the most difficult things look so simple. We all teased Steve about him being our hero when he retired at 49!! Great guy and friend who will be missed by many. May God bless you and your family.

Steve was a very good man. I was fortunate to have worked with him for many years before he retired. He was intelligent and most of all a very quick thinker, which made him one of the best. He could size up a situation long before the rest of us caught on. After his retirement, we kept in touch via email. His sense of humor and commentary on various subjects were very entertaining. Steve will definitely be missed, but he is on a new journey now, which has just begun.

We both fondly remember Steve from the many years we all worked together at Lockheed Martin and from the few years we were neighbors on Moonraker Drive. May your wonderful memories help to heal your hearts in this time of sorrow.

God never promised life without pain or laughter without tears or a sun without rain, but he did promise strength for the day and comfort for tears. Hold on to the life and love you and Steve knew and laugh as you always did with the little jokes you shared. In life you loved each other dearly and in death you will do the same.

Steve Copsey was my friend and mentor. He and I played together in a lunch time Hearts game for many years, and Steve was very competative. We also played softball together on the TPS Engineering team. I am blessed to have known Steve.

Steve is a friend that left this life way too soon. Your smile and life outlook will be missed by his friends in the mountain town of Cripple Creek and the gold we have will have a little less shine. Be at peace our friend. Stephen & Bonnie

It seems so recently that we shared our dinner table on our fun cruise. There we met a great couple, Steve and Rose. They have remained a part of our favorite friends. Know that these, along with thousands of great memories will help to sustain you in the coming days, weeks and years.
