We were truly saddened by the news of such a wonderful friend, educator, and mother's passing. As I (a parent of former students) reflect on the past years, I recall that she taught my daughters well in many aspects of becoming a self-confident, well-rounded individuals while in her tenure at Our LADY STAR OF THE SEA SCHOOL. I had the opportunity of assisting in extra-curricular activities with her. She made it very enjoyable for the students, as well myself. A wonderful role model in every sense of the task. She will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. Our prayers are with her family.

My condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family. Ms. Stanley was my sixth grade teacher at OLSS back in the 1980's. she was an amazing educator, mentor and inspiration. For every life has a purpose to fill, a purpose which us humans can seldom infer. But you were a gift from heaven, whose purpose was to make this world understand what love, friendship, goodness, and humbleness was all about. Goodness belongs to heaven, and I know you are watching us from there, bestowing your beautiful smile upon us. Mrs. Sylvia, with tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. You will be greatly missed. Since then, the house has not been the same. Kevin, Candy and I are hurting and can't believe you are gone. My heart hurts because I missed your call. Not knowing that it was your last call to me. We are going to miss you say what are y'all doing up there, I'm trying to watch my TV show. May your soul rest in peace.
