Tanya Marie Cheatteam

Tanya Marie Cheatteam passed away from earth to eternity on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the age of 48. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Tanya was a cashier in retail. She was a kind human to grace this planet and carried a passion for reading and performing her poetry. Devoted mother of James Tevin Cheatteam, Jessica Beatrice Cheatteam, Courtney Cheatteam, Stanyell Cheatteam, Ruby Mae Cheatteam, and Jasiah Cheatteam. Loving grandmother of Khamela Ruby Cheatteam and Kametric Lamont Eason, Jr. Daughter of the late Ruby Mae Cheatteam and Calvin Christian. Sister of Rachel (Daward) Jones, Larry Cheatteam, Don, Calvin, Jr., Azarrio Christian, and the late Branshawn Christian, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service, Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the parlor.
