Toni Thornhill Meyer

1949 - 2021

Toni Thornhill Meyer, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on March 22, 2021 at the age of 72. She was born on February 20, 1949 to the late Annie Carol Thornhill and Forrest Thornhill. Toni is the beloved wife of 53 years to Morris I. Meyer; cherished mother of Heather Lynn Meyer Gerhold (John) and Jason Matthew Meyer (Kim); proud grandmother of Cameron, Payton, and Addison Gerhold and Katherine and Matthew Meyer; and caring sister of Terri Zeringue, Lisa Lemoine, and the late Debra Thornhill. Toni was crowned St. John Sugar Queen and runner up for Miss Louisiana. She attended Northeastern University in Monroe, Louisiana and was the owner of River Parish Travel in LaPlace, Louisiana until she retired. Toni was very active in business and political arenas as well as working hard to help those in her community. She enjoyed rock hounding, meeting new people, and traveling in her spare time but loved nothing more than the time she spent with her precious grandchildren. Toni will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the National Heart Association are preferred.
