Torin McLean Obituary

Feb. 3, 1974 - Jan. 27, 2012

Torin Michael McLean, beloved son, husband, father, brother and friend, passed quietly away on Jan. 27, 2012, at home.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1974, in Kaysville, Utah, to Harold and Patty McLean, and raised in Corvallis with his younger brother, Brendan. Torin married Kristi Armstrong in October 2006, and their daughter, Aubrey, was born in January 2011. Torin worked as a graphic designer and enjoyed creating art seen all around town. He was a proud father and loving husband totally devoted to his family and many friends.

He was a lifetime Beaver Believer, and enjoyed all sports and outdoor activities. He played city league softball for many years. Torin's sense of humor, hearty laugh, gentle and kind spirit, and endless love of life will truly be missed, but not forgotten. Torin is survived by his wife, Kristi McLean, and daughter, Aubrey; parents, Harold and Patty McLean; brother, Brendan McLean; sister, Venisa (Rob) Fritton; paternal grandmother, Venna McLean; and other extended family.

A celebration of his life will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, in Dennis Hall of First Presbyterian Church, Ninth Street and Monroe Avenue, Corvallis.
