Vera D. "Cookie" Williams

Vera D. Williams, AKA Cookie, departed this life on October 12, 2023, at the age of 78; she was born in New Orleans, LA, on December 31, 1944, to the late Charles Delvaille Jr. and the late Vera Woods. Vera was the wife of the late Isiah Williams Ill and the late Leroy Williams (1st marriage). Her occupation was a beautician. Vera leaves to cherish her memory, her 2 children–Keith J. Delvaille (Kimberly) of Harker Heights, TX, and Jesse Green Jr. (Rosalena) of Marietta, GA; 2 siblings–Charles Delvaille II of Ansonia, CT, and Geraldine Soublet of Seymour, CT; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands; parents; 1 daughter–Joyce Ware; and 2 siblings–Joyce Slaughter of Fayetteville, NC, and George A. Delvaille of Ansonia, CT. Friends and family are invited to the Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA 70460. Bro. R.L. Clark will officiate. At 12:00 PM there will be a time for reflection for family and friends at Church of Christ NOLA East, 4332 Lonely Oak Dr., New Orleans, LA 70126.
