LEONARD Victoria Winesberry Leonard departed this life on December 11, 2007 at 12:45 pm at Tulane Medical Center at the age of 85. She was a native of Verrett and resident of Violet, La. Daughter of the late Joseph and Mathilda Winesberry, Sr. Devoted wife of the late William Leonard, Jr. Loving mother of Mathilda M. Gilmore (Joseph, Sr.), Linda L. Fernandez (Collins), Marsha L Williams (Alverez) and Darryl Leonard (Cigdem). Sister of Alma Johnson (late Alvin), Frank Winesberry (Doretha) and the late Hazel Hunter (Rev. Granderson Hunter), Joseph, Jr., Charles (the late Mary) and Eldridge Winesberry. Devoted grandmother of Eric, Sr. (Trenell) and Joseph, Jr. (Brittiany), five Grandchildren, ten Great-Grandchildren, two Great Great Grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, three God-children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, officers and members of First Baptist Church of Verrett, La., Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Goodwill, La. and all neighboring churches of St. Bernard and Plaquemine Parishes, owners and employees of Delta, Quality and Moore Home Health Care Services are invited to attend the funeral. Services on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 12:30 noon at First Baptist Church, 3737 Bayou Road, Verrett, La. Pastor Raymond A. Smith, Officiating.
