WINSTON Victoria (Vicky) Barabin Winston, a retired Accounts Receivable Supervisor for Chevron Chemical Company passed away on August 15, 2004 in San Francisco. Born in New Orleans, LA to Mitchell and Cecelia A. Barabin on February 17, 1943. Graduate of St. Monica Catholic School Class of 1957 and Xavier Preparatory High School of 1962. She attended Dillard University in New Orleans, LA and Bell & Howell Schools International Accountants Society of Chicago, IL. A resident of San Francisco, CA fom 1965 to the present. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Barabin, Sr.; brother, Louis A. Barabin; uncle, Milton Simon; aunts: Rose Henderson and Bertha Alix. God-son Damien McKinney I. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Cecelia Alix Barabin; sister, Alma Barabin Payne of New Orleans, LA., brother, Mitchell J. Barabin Jr. of Baltimore MD; niece, Alaina Lynn Payne of New Orleans, LA. Also survived by aunts Margaret Ellis, Azerine Casimir and Matthies (Mae) Simon of New Orleans, La., uncle Joseph Alix of Yakoma, WA., Harry Henderson of New Orleans, LA. Sister and brothers-in-law Eursla A. Winston-Wells and Earl A. Wells (Miami, FL) and Lindsey Payne (New Orleans, LA.) God daughters Adrienne Hill and Angelique Wright (New Orleans, LA.) Lifetime friends of New Orleans, LA: Leroy Dunware, Romalice Lewis, Ames Growne, Preston Edwards, Pamela G. Wagner, Marie Collins, Adrella Stewart, Joyce B. Brossett, Gail E. Morris, Patricia Turbinton, Andrea Padilla and Debra Faye Hollowman. Devoted friends of San Francisco: Barbara J. McKinney, Lorraine Gash, Sis. Anne Bertain O.P., Exie Fields, Pam Jones (Vallejo, CA.) and Faye Dickerson (Fairfax, VA.) Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and their families. Victoria was a devoted leader and supporter of the following organizations: St. Dominic's Catholic Church Community Service, Director of Church Hospitality 11 o'clock Solemn Mass, African American Parishoners Association, Pastoral Counsel for St. Dominic's, Bay Area Organizing Committee, Safety Network Organization, Northern District Police Community Relation Forum, Hayes Valley Community Partners, Cancer Outreach Bayview Organization, Board of Directors Freedom West, San Francisco Community Court and Xavier Preparatory Alumni Association (New Orleans, LA) Family and friends are invited to attend the Rosary on Friday, August 20, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. and celebrate the Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 2390 Bust Street, San Francisco, CA 94115.
