What an incredible person Vincent was along with his outstanding food and restaurant. His personality was one you can never forget. Being from New Orleans, whenever we go back to visit, Vincent's is at the top of our list.
We say prayers for the family and hoping that Vincent's restaurants will continue on.....just as his inspiring legacy will endure forever.
Thank you Vincent for touching so many of us.

Vincent and I had many memories together including traveling cross country in the mid 70´s. I live in Alaska now but would visit him when most of the times I visited my family. He will be truly missed by me and many more people. R.I.P.

I would also like to extend my sympathy to Vincent's family and to Tony & Jodi who have been an integral part of Vincent's since way before I knew them. I'm happy to know they will carry on his legacy and that I can go to either restaurant and be treated like family. That was Vincent's way.

I will always remember Vincet as the man who helped our bakery across the street, Kathy's Kakes & Konfectioneries, and for whom we did the party desserts the entire time we were in existence. It was an honor he thought well enough of us to do the party desserts for such a renowned restaurant. He also employed and looked after my daughter, Allison Swindler, for the 3 years she worked for him. He gave her a chance and she didn't disappoint until she had to quit due to a serious health problem. Vincent was an integral part of our life for 13 1/2 years. I will always fondly remember all the New Year's eve parties we attended & looked forward to every year. We always had our annual employee Christmas parties at Vincent's every year and never even thought about going anywhere else as the food was unbeatable. I've missed Vincent since Terry & I went to Florida in 2005 but whenever I think about the glorious days of our bakery Vincent's always comes to mind. R.I.P. Vincent and thank you for patronizing us and I'm happy we could return the favor.

I have many funny and endearing memories of Vin that I will cherish. Ranging from him yelling at the dogs, shoving plates of delicious Italian food at me asking why I´m not eating, demanding to know why I´m so tall, calling us silly women but secretly laughing at our jokes, telling me dishes won´t wash themselves while still using them, and the sweet and tender private moments I witnessed between him and the boys he loved so deeply. However, one particular memory stands out. Ida was underway and literally tearing apart everything around his house he´d so graciously opened to me and mine. Tiffany and I were making plans to get to the boat when the walls caved in and flooded in escalating hysterics. Vincent was calm as a cucumber making himself a snack and rolling his eyes at our panicked state. We´d ask him why he wasn´t worried at all. And I mean the man was calmly watching trees fly past the window and didn´t even bat an eyelash. He would dismiss our shrill words with a very confident "THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT IN THE 70s" and that was it. Picture that viral meme of the car salesman hitting the top of a vehicle exclaiming "this bad boy can fit _____" that was the assuredness Vin had in the strength of his home and truthfully it´s abilities to fit many people as it went on to be a refuge for many after the storm. He wasn´t wrong. His house stood fast and his unbothered faith in that fact, in my opinion, is as big a reason why as it´s date of construction. That´s the memory I hold dear to my heart. His confidence in his ability to weather the storm. I had a few jokes ready for him when I saw him again that now I´ll have to send to the next place over a candle. I´ll never forget your generosity and brand of prickly affection, Vin. I hope heaven flung open it´s doors and all the floors and dishes there self clean. Rest in Peace my short friend.
