Vincent Joseph Sclafani Sr.

"We just lost the greatest husband and father in the world." This is what my mother said to me when I arrived at the hospital on Saturday October 16, 2021. "Yes we did," is all I could muster as I hugged her. Vincent Joseph Sclafani, Sr., 79, of Diamondhead, MS passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his home. Vincent graduated from St. Aloysius High School in New Orleans, LA in May 1960. He married his wife, Dorothy (Wood) Sclafani of 60 years June 1961, who lovingly called him "Honey". He had a very successful career in the automotive business at Mossy Motors and his own business. He completed his career as part owner of Mossy of Picayune. Vincent loved life and people; he never met a stranger and everyone loved him. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, friend, mentor, and coworker. Vincent was born August 8, 1942, in New Orleans, LA to the late Dominic Sclafani and Anna (Gagliano) Sclafani. He grew up with his sister Rosalie (Guthrie) Perry of Lake Charles, LA. In addition to his wife Dorothy and his children Shannan Edwards and Vincent Sclafani, Jr., Vincent is survived by his grandchildren Alysse and Ian Edwards, Anna (Wade) Woolford, and Morgan Sclafani. All lovingly called him "Pop". Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS from noon until 2:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 2:00 pm.
