COLLINS Mrs. Wadrina V. Collins on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the hour of 10:15 a.m. our Lord came to the beside of his own child, he led her safely to that peaceful shore. She was a member of Beacon Light Cathedral - Pastored by Rev. Darryl Brister. She also graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. Daughter of the late Henry and Beatrice Lee Van Buren. Granddaughter of the late Elder and Missionary Elizabeth Van buren. Wife of the alte Samuel ""Buddy'' Collins. Mother of Rainey (Antoinette), Roxelyn, Ronald (Paulette), Keith, Kimberley and Trina. Sister of Doris V. Gauff and Elder Georgia V. Slaughter. Sister-in-law of Eliza Collins Webb and Thelma Collins. Niece of Mary Belle V. Chapman of Sacramento, California, Minister Naomi V. Bolds of Franklin, LA and retired Sargent Roscoe Van Buren of Tacoma Washington. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. A native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family; also pastors, officers and members of Beacon Light Cathedral are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. My how the time pass. We sure miss you baby. Well until we meet again in the great beyond.

I dreamed of you last week. You were dressed in white and you were speading red azealas on a bed.
The Lord showed me what it meant. The white represented purity, the red represented victory and the bed represents rest.

Thank God your soul is resting with Jesus.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words of sympathy for me and my siblings and extended family. Mome entered a new season and made her "transition" six months ago, and smiles down on us daily. She's rejoicing with the angels, and I rejoice in her freedom from all earthly trials. How grateful I am to have had 34 years with her.

It was Jesus that brought me out alright. I thank my God, he made me understand "Lude" did not want to live here any longer. She tried to go and live with her savior in 2005. The family prayed her back to health and life. The time came that she no longer wanted to live in this world and Jesus allowed her to come to the place he had prepared for her She is now with her Jesus, the savior she so often talked about. We loved her dearly, but she belong to God.
Thank you God for giving us such a beautiful and caring sister. I especially thank you for the strength to go on.

To have seen my mother in her most "peaceful state" was a beautiful sight to behold, and for my brother to play by trumpet "A Closer Walk With Thee" graveside was like sending an Angel on her way ! Thank you all for allowing us to share Mom with you !

Miss Wadrina made many friends at the Big Bass Resort in Jacinto City,Texas. We all had one thing in common at the time, how to survive after Katrina. Miss Wadrina was a part of the family that we became.She was respected and loved by everyone.The loss of such a wonderful person is great.
