LEMIEUX Walter "Slim' Lemieux, Sr. passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family on Friday, February 1, 2013. Beloved husband of Sherry Jones Lemieux. Loving father of Walter, Jr., Taj, Keshawn, LaQuinta and the late Terrance, Sr. Son of the late Mildred Armand and Joseph Lemieux. Adopted son of the late Benny and Margaret Lemieux. Father-in-law of Hiwan Jones. Son-in-law of Percy, Sr. and Annie Jones; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 sisters, 4 brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 58 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Avondale, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Word of Faith Temple B. C., Ephesian B. C., Second St. John B. C., Progressive B. C., St. Joseph B. C. and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Word of Faith Temple Baptist Church, 200 Bishop Dr. Avondale, La. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Pastor John Helire, Sr., officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
