Walter Morrill Strong

Walter Morrill Strong passed away due to complications from Parkinson's Disease at his Algiers, La. residence on Saturday, November 15, 2003. He is the beloved husband of Marguerite Golden Strong. Father of Kenneth Everett Strong, Cheryl S. Landry and Melanie S. Schwartz. Father-in-law of Lisa Cannon Strong and Michael Keith Schwartz. Grandfather of Brian and Mark Strong; Kyle Landry; Jacob, Nicholas, Matthew and Lauren Schwartz. Sister of Ruth Strong Johnson. Age 70 years. A native of Ithaca, NY and a resident of Algiers, LA. for the past 37 years. Mr. Strong was a retired Account Vice President and Investment Management Consultant at Paine Webber. He was also a former Geologist for Humble Oil. He graduated from Cornell University with a Geology degree and from the University of Texas with a Master's Degree. He was a member of Woodland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Strong was a member and past Vice President of Aurora Country Club and a member of N.O.G.S. and A.A.P.G. Societies. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial service at Woodland Presbyterian Church, 5824 Berkley Drive, Algiers, LA. on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 4:00 PM. Visitation and reception at the church following the services. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Parkinson's Disease Research Fund, L.S.U.
