Warren Howard "Big Mac" McGuin

1941 - 2023

Warren Howard McGuin, affectionately known by family and friends as 'Big Mac' was born on April 26, 1941, to the Union of the late Samuel C. McGuin and the late Delores Verrett McGuin. He was a native of Gray, La. Warren departed this life on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, La. at the age of 81. Warren was baptized at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. He was educated in Terrebonne Parish Public School System. Warren was a truck driver, owner, operator, for over 50 years. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife Hattie Wilson McGuin. Five children Dinah McGuin, Warren H. McGuin, Jr., Valerie R. McGuin, Wendy L. McGuin, and Dwayne C. McGuin. 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 5 brothers-Carl L. McGuin (Janice), Gilbert J. McGuin, Charles W. McGuin (Mildred), Leo S. McGuin (Christine), Stanley R. McGuin all of Gray, La. 3 sisters-in-law Gladys W. Payne of NOLA, Nancy Wilson, Dorothy Wilson both of St. Francisville, La., 3 Godchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, other Relatives and Friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel McGuin and Delores Verrett McGuin, 1 sister Lois Gauthier, and 1 brother Patrick C. McGuin. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also Pastors, Officers and Members of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, Little Zion Baptist Church New Orleans, Greater King Solomon Baptist Church New Orleans, and Cedar Grove Baptist Church of St. Francisville, La. are all invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10:00am at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church 101 Gray St. Gray, La. 70359. Pastor Darril L. Prout, Jr., Officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00am.
