Trudy and Family,
You know how much I loved Mr. Wes, he was my second dad since we were 14. What a patient man he was. He was always there with an encourageing word and a big smile, even when he wanted to choke us. Your family has always been so good to me and my daughter Megan. I remember them babysitting her when she was an infant. When she would cry, Mr. Wes would get down the floor and make her laugh.
I can not begin to imagine what you are feeling, but know that your pain is mine. I love you and will always be here. I do know that he is with the Lord looking over us.
I love you all

Dear Broadbridge Family,
I came across a picture recently that was taken at my 2nd birthday party. I was opening up a gift and in the background were Aunt Gert and Uncle Wesley watching me and enjoying a piece of birthday cake. I realized then how long the two of you have been present in my life. I have so many wonderful family memories from years past especially the Christmas parties when the adults drank Grasshoppers, Pink Squirrels and played Choo-Choo! I always thought my uncles were so crazy and fun to be with. I will miss seeing Uncle Wesley after church drinking coffee and always having a smile for everyone. I am so grateful that he was part of my life. I will miss him.
Love to all of you,
hayley Elias

Aunt Gert and Cousins,
Ernie and I were so glad we got to see Uncle Wesley at the reunion in October. We spoke with him a few minutes and of course he was smiling and in good spirits. He was a good man and a good uncle. I feel so blessed to have such good uncles. (AND aunts and cousins!) I have such good memories of Christmases, New Year's Eve parties, birthday parties and get-togethers at Grandma's camp and having all our family there.
One thing I remember distinctly about Uncle Wesley was, when I was scheduled to work at the Tasty Spot and he was there I knew I wouldn't have to work as hard as when that slave driver Uncle Eddie was there!
We love all of you and pray the Lord's comfort at this time.
Love, Phyllis (Dietz) Elias and family

Aunt Gert, Trudy, and Family,
Uncle Wesley will certainly be missed by not only our family, but by his family at St. Paul's. The most common comment I heard from people who knew him was, "He was a good man." Always happy, always a smile on his face. I know I will miss him.

Uncle Wes always made our family Christmas get-togethers fun. He and Uncle Eddie would be the first to wad up gift wrapping paper and heave it across the room at each other and at other cousins. Uncle Wes loved the family reunions and always played volleyball with the youngsters although his favorite sport, that I can remember, was horseshoes.
Uncle Wes could make this chirping whistling sound that sounded pretty much like one of those whistles that had the ball moving around inside. This intrigued me as a kid and after years of practicing, I now can whistle like Uncle Wes.
The entire Broadbridge/Dietz family will miss him greatly along with what he gave to us all, love, fun and lots of cheer.

Dear Trudy, Wesley, Greta, and George:
So sorry to hear of your father's and grandfather's passing. He was a very nice man. I can remember meeting him as a child when we were students at St. Paul and then seeing him again with my son, Stephen, when he accompanied George to golf lessons at City Park. He was always very involved and seemed like a very caring man.

Hi Wes,this is your baby brother Phil. I'm missing you & it is going to be tough not to see you again.I remember how shy I was in grammar school & you were a senior at Nicholls High & you encouraged me to run for cheerleader, I did & goodbye shyness. A world of thanks to you also because you introduced me to Sylvia my wonderful wife of 52 yrs. Katrina was devastating for everyone, but me, because I was able to spend approx. 6 months living with you, Gert & George under my roof until you got your trailer. We had fun times together. Remember the good advice you gave me when I joined the Navy, "Do what they order you to do." Good advice. I pray that our relatives will carry on the Family reunions, it keeps us close. Brother, I know your'e with our Savior Jesus Christ & that comforts me, but I still have this empty feeling in my heart. I have always loved you & was always proud to say "This is my brother, Wesley". Goodbye, I'll see you in Heaven, I love you.

Dear Gert, Children and the Broadbridge family.
Wes was a dear friend and a great Church worker. He was a gentle man, one that will be sorely missed. Wes served St. Paul Lutheran on the Board of Trustees for many years. His service to the Lord will speak volumes in his legacy. May God bless you and your family.

I look forward to the day we can be together again. I will love you forever, Trudy

Dear Broadbridge Family,
Edwin and I were good friends at F.T. Nicholls High School; we kept in touch with each other while he was in the Navy. I knew Wesley at Nicholls also but not as well as Edwin although I am sure he was just as fine a person as his brothers and sister. What a lovely family the Broadbridge one is. My deepest condolences to each of you on your loss. May God hold you in His arms and grant you peace.
