William Clayton Obituary

CLAYTON William ''Bill'' Clayton was born on February 8, 1930 and died on September 15, 2006. He was a retired construction worker and an Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was employed at LSU Dental School. Son of Marshall Clayton and Evelyn Thompson-Clayton. Loving husband of Linda Mae Williams-Clayton. Beloved auntie Leontine Clayton. Loving and dedicated father of Donyell, David, Latisha, William II and William Clayton III, Adrienne Melancon, Evelyn Ragus, Barbara William-McCoy, Troylyn, Dayshaun Hubbard and the late Terrence Clayton and Sherman Green. Brother of Diane, Allen, Dorothy, Marshall, Joseph, Henry and Zachary Clayton. Also survived by 25 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church; employees and staff of LSU Dental School and LSU University Hospital are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1807 Lasalle St. from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Rev. John C. Raphael, Jr. officiating. Interment Providence Memorial Park. NO WAKE. You may sign the guest book online on nola.com/obits.
