Willie Jaynes Obituary

Willie Vernon Jaynes, 86, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Guardian Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
Mr. Jaynes was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Itasca, one of four children born to Hobert and Mamie Jaynes. He was a World War II veteran. His favorite music was bluegrass. He was a very kind and gentle man and loved by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank all the caring staff at the Plaza at Ridgmar nursing home and at Harris Hospital Fort Worth.
Mr. Jaynes was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sue Jaynes.
Survivors: Sons, Les Jaynes and his wife, Gracie, Lynn Jaynes and his girlfriend, Phyllis, and Tom Jaynes; daughters, Laura Casey and her husband, Darrell, and Marian Wright; brother, Hobert Jaynes Jr.; sisters, Janie Fulfer and Louise Humphries; grandchildren, Melissa, Liz and Mike Jaynes; sister-in-law, Peggy Lanier; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
