Bonnie Myers Obituary

Bonnie M. Myers, age 86, passed away September 16, 2022 at Azria Health Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Bonnie was born December 6, 1935 in Council Bluffs to the late Everett and Rose Nell (Springer) Welling. She married James E. Myers, Sr. on September 28, 1963. Bonnie was a department manager for Hershey Pasta Co. (Skinner Macaroni) for 11 years retiring in 1990. In 1990 Bonnie moved to Moorhead, Minnesota and then to Fargo, North Dakota before moving to Missouri Valley. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Myers, Sr. in 2012; sons, Markel Thomas, Jamie Thomas; daughters, Barbara "Tootie" Adams and Charmaine Gray; 3 sisters, Donna May, Jane Welling, Norma Downing; 4 brothers, Earl, Ike and John Welling, and Albert Hudson. Bonnie is survived by her children, Guy Thomas, Jr. of Moorhead, Minnesota, Mary (Keith) Kasprick of Fargo, Lafe (Sally) Thomas of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Karen (Dale) Schneidewind of McClelland, Iowa, James "Bim" (Greta) Myers, Jr. of Moorhead, Minnesota, Julie Ann (Ernie) Saar of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters Waverly Medlin and Shasta Tanner, both of Ridgeway, MO. 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family, Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel in Council Bluffs. Funeral service, Saturday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Walnut Hill Cemetery with a lunch following at East Side Christian church. The family will direct memorial contributions.
