Carol Lynn Lander, age 77, passed away November 18, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Carol was born August 24,1948, in Belle Plaine, IA, to the late Leo and Delores Romesburg and graduated from St. Albert High School in their first graduating class of1966.

Carol worked many years at Hockenbergs Equipment and Supply in Omaha and she was a proud member of Holy Family Church and later at St. Patrick's Church. She was active in the Chanticleer Community Theatre where she met her future husband, Larry Lander. They were married on October 16, 1982. Carol was an avid animal lover, especially dogs and she also supported veterans' groups.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Larry in 1999; sister, Ruth Brich and her husband Herb; mother-in-law, Florence Lander.

Survivors include her sister, Mary Danburg and husband Mike of St. George, UT; brother, Steven Romesburg and wife Lisa of Council Bluffs; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; members of the Lander family, Nancy Townsend and husband Dean of Omaha, NE, Tammy McGinn and husband Pat of Council Bluffs, Todd Lander and wife Mary of Shelby, IA.

Visitation with family and friends is Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by funeral service at 10:30 a.m., at Cutler O'Neill Funeral Home.

Carol will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery with husband Larry and her parents. A luncheon will follow the burial at the Walnut Hill Reception Center.

Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Midlands Humane Society.
