Deborah "Debi" Yard, 61, of Crescent, IA., passed away on July 12, 2021. The immense love for her family exhausted her heart far too soon. Born to Bud and Joyce Zabel on January 20, 1960, she was the youngest of four children. After graduating Abraham Lincoln high school in 1978, she met her husband, Bob, and they were married in 1982. Together they raised two sons, Logan and Casey. She is preceded in death by her father, Albert, her mother-in-law, Bonnie, and her middle child, Wendy. Debi leaves behind her loving husband Bob, their sons, Logan and Casey, her mother, Joyce, and her father in law, Bill. She also leaves her siblings Rick, David, and Sharon, as well as 18 nieces and nephews, including her favorite - David Jr. A loving wife and mother, she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family at their home in Crescent. She would often accompany Bob and their friends on motorcycle rides around the country. Known for her dedication, honesty, and stubbornness, Debi worked at Super Saver for 28 years, where she made many friends. Visitation Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10am, all at Cutler-O'Neill Funeral Home. I remember Debbie from way back when David Jr was just a little guy. She was always so kind to me and made me feel welcome as did the whole family. She will be missed in this world. Prayers and thoughts with the family during this very difficult time. May your memories of her help carry you through.

Went to school with Deb from grade school through high school. Deb was always real. You always knew where she stood. We had good times in school. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

Debi and I worked together when we opened this store. I considered her one of friends when we worked together and even after leaving the store, always made a point to see her when I visited the store. She will be missed and my prayers go out to her family at this time.
