Kurt Kimball

Kurt E. Kimball, age 52, of Carter Lake, Iowa, passed away suddenly on June 24, 2023, at Nebraska Medicine, in Omaha, Neb. Kurt was born December 17, 1970, in Council Bluffs, to Kenneth and Joanne (Whyte) Kimball. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1990. Kurt was a facility coordinator for Scoular Co. for the past ten years and also worked as an air package handler for United Parcel Service. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Kurt was preceded in death by his infant sister, Joanne Kimball in 1961. He is survived by his forever, Christie Ryba, of Carter Lake; son, Hunter Kimball, of Omaha; parents, Ken and Joanne Kimball, of Council Bluffs; sisters, Carolyn (Bill) Childers, of Missouri City, Texas, Kathleen (Tim) Philmalee, of Council Bluffs; brother, Kevin (Amy) Kimball, of Splendora, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jordan, Tyler, Haleigh, Kyle and great-niece, Gabriella; other relatives and many friends. Visitation with the family, Friday, 4 to 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at Corpus Christi-Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, 3304 Fourth Ave., in Council Bluffs. Casual/Harley attire is preferred. Private inurnment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, at a later date. The family will direct memorial contributions.
