Phyliss Sharp

Phyllis Sharp was born in Council Bluffs, to the late Harold and Alice Larson. She met Harold Sharp at the age of 14 in McClelland, IA, at a skating rink and she eventually married him on December 6,1953.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who kept her family together having family birthday parties, dinners, and holiday meals at her house in Underwood, IA.

She is survived by her three children, Robert Sharp (Jackie), Michael Sharp (Sheri), Susan Sharp; eight grandchildren, Crystal Sharp, Jennifer Sharp, Cassandra Collins, Daniel Sharp, Steven Sharp, Katie Sharp, Alison Sobbing, and Heather Strasser; 12 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was a loving member of the community of Underwood and was a member of the Underwood Lutheran Church. She was always ready to help someone in need and cared more than words can say about her family. She fought a hard battle with dementia for over seven years at Glen Haven in Glenwood, IA, where she became part of a new community and family with the staff in her memory care unit. She was always happy to see you and always had a smile on her face until the very end. She is now united in heaven with her husband, Harold Sharp; and her brother, Gene Larson, and we are so blessed to have had her in our lives.

Visitation with the family, Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside service and burial, Friday, January 10, 2025, at 1 p.m., at the Fisher Cemetery in Underwood. Family and friends to meet at Cutler O'Neill Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m., for procession to the cemetery.
