Raymond John Reineke, age 71, passed away July 14, 2021, at Methodist-Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Ray, the son of Edward and Tillie (Lengel) Reineke was born May 28, 1950, in Carroll, IA. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll. Ray attended parochial school at St. Peter and Paul, and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in 1968. Ray worked as a plumber, meat processing employee, truck driver for Sioux Transportation, mobile home transporter and insurance salesman, before starting the Red Wheel Fundraising/Value Foods business with his brothers in 1985. On September 9, 1972, he was united in marriage to Janice Kay Klocke, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willey, IA. They were blessed with three sons: Mark, Michael and David. Ray was a member of St. Columbanus Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus. He had served on the parish council, St. Albert School Board, Catholic Charities, and was currently serving as a Birthright volunteer and parish trustee. Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved gathering family and friends together, especially at the family getaway "Hickory Hills" near Villisca where his favorite pastimes were riding his golf cart on the paths in the timber and watching the sunset. Preceding him in death were his parents Edward and Tillie; brother Robert; in-laws Leonard and Leona Klocke; brother-in-law Allen Klocke. Survivors include wife Janice; children Mark and wife Tracy, and their daughters Brianna and Madeline, Michael and wife Melinda, and their children Angela, Dylan, Ethan and Evan, David and wife Sarah, and their daughters Caroline and Claire, all of Council Bluffs; brothers Ronald and wife Mary Reineke, of Plattsmouth NE, Richard and wife Mary Reineke, of Springfield NE, and Russ Reineke, of Carroll, IA; special friend Jackie Reineke; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dale and Mary Klocke, Kenny Klocke, all of Carroll, IA, Denise and Maury Brincks, of Appleton, WI, Marilyn and Matt Schultes, of Panora, IA, Sue and Randy Clausen, of Audubon, IA, Gene and Chris Klocke, of Carroll, IA, Daryl and Cheryl Klocke, of Dedham, IA, many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Monday 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Neola. Interment St. Columbanus Cemetery, Weston, IA, followed by a luncheon back at St. Patrick's Church Social Hall. Memorials are suggested to St. Columbanus Cemetery Fund, or St. Albert Schools.

I send my deep condolences to Jan and all the family. Ray was such a kind and warm man. He was always so good to me. Ray was strong and vibrant - he left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Prayers go out to Janice and rest of family. Worked with Ray on fund raising for St Alberts. He was a really good person and will be missed.
