Roger D. Haschemeyer

Roger D. Haschemeyer, age 43, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away August 20, 2022, in Omaha after being hospitalized. Roger was born September 1, 1978, in Springfield, Illinois to Del and Sue (Nusbaum) Haschemeyer. He graduated from Athens High School in 1997 and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University in 2002. Roger moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa in 2006 working for the past 16 years as a hydrologist for USGS. He married Patty Kriley of Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 16, 2015. Roger loved the outdoors, the Chicago Cubs and hiking with his dog, Coco. He was a very helpful and caring person who had a good heart. Roger was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Patty Haschemeyer of Council Bluffs, Iowa; chocolate lab, Coco: parents, Del and Sue Haschemeyer of Athens, Illinois; brothers, Dave of Oak Park, Illinois, Mike (Kaycee) of Collinsville, Illinois; twin brothers, Mark (Carrie) of Lewes, Delaware, Brian (Holly) of Springfield, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Maddie, Kyle, Hailey, Emily and Eli; mother-in-law, Diane Kriley; father-in-law, Mark Kriley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Michelle and Joe Hothersall all of Council Bluffs. Celebration of Life Service, Sunday, 1:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. A luncheon will follow in the Cutler-O'Neill Community Room.
