Sallisue Burdick, age 88, of Council Bluffs, passed away December 1, 2025, at Prairie Gate. Sallisue was born December 5, 1936, in Council Bluffs, to the late Rochford "Lee" and Frances (Carter) Budatz. She graduated from Abrham Lincoln High School in 1955. Sallisue earned her radiology tech certification from Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She married Delbert Burdick on September 6, 1958, in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with two daughters, Debbie and Diane. Sallisue was a radiology tech for 40 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She loved to travel and was an avid reader. In addition to her parents, Sallisue was preceded in death by her sister, Carol B. Rath in 2016. Sallisue is survived by her husband of 67 years, Delbert Burdick; daughters, Debbie (Bob) Olsen all of Council Bluffs, Diane (Curt) Wellman of Neola, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Jason, Joseph, Justine, Nikki, Alix, and Madison, 7 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Ed Rath of Council Bluffs and Larry Burdick of Forest Park, IL; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a lunch following at the church. Visitation with the family, the hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4 Valley View Dr.

I was the flower girl at Sallisue and Delbert´s wedding when I was 3 years old; she was a good friend of my mother (Joyce Pogge), and I think had babysat me. She was a lovely, kind person and my heart goes out to Delbert, Debbie and Diane, and all her family. You will be in my prayers.
