Wayne A. Pearey

Wayne A. Pearey, age 87, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 25, 2022 at Mercy Hospital. Wayne was born June 17, 1934 in Tekamah, Nebraska to the late George R. and Mary (Peasley) Pearey. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Wayne was a retired auto body specialist for many years and was an avid horse racing enthusiast. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by grandsons, Matthew Gepford, Kevin Pearey; granddaughter, Audrey Pearey; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Wayne is survived by his children, Tina Pearey, Sandra Abrams, David Pearey, Roger Pearey, Lisa (James) Wachter, Brian (Amanda King) Pearey all of Council Bluffs; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sister, Hazel Gerry of Council Bluffs. Funeral service, Wednesday, 11 a.m.. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Interment Omaha National Cemetery. Visitation with the family, one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will direct memorials.
