Chaska - Katherine "Kate" Elizabeth (Jenness) Lloyd, age 78, of Chaska, MN, formerly of Ashwaubenon, WI, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Auburn Manor Care Center, Chaska, MN. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, 2:00 PM at the Bertas Funeral Home, 200 West Third Street, Chaska, MN, with visitation 1:00 - 2:00 PM. Katherine was born on August 27, 1947 in Northfield, MN, to Maurice Jr. and Mary Jane (McGough) Jenness, the third of four children. She graduated from Northfield High School and then furthered her education receiving a bachelor's degree in physical education at Quincy College in Quincy, IL. On September 7, 1974 she married James Lloyd in Richland Center, WI. They had one son, Marty. Katherine and James were residents near Green Bay, WI in Ashwaubenon, WI for 45 years. She was immeasurably proud of her family and devoted much of her life to their care. In 2020, she retired from her position at Prevea Health. She was often admired for her decorating abilities, particularly her rustic aesthetic. She was passionate about antiques, at one point also amassing a sizable collection of teddy bears. In her later years, she came to greatly enjoy Korean dramas and cartoons. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, James (2021), her parents, and brother, Maurice III (Marilyn) Jenness. Survivors include her son, Dr. Martin "Marty" Lloyd of Chaska; brothers, Charles (Mary) Jenness of Georgia, Kevin (Rebecca) Jenness of Massachusetts; brother-in-law John (Barbara) Lloyd of Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
