Adeline KRAMER Obituary

KRAMER
Adeline, 103, of Palm Beach, Florida, died at her home on Friday, March 28, 2014.
Born in New York City in 1911, Mrs. Kramer graduated from the Savage School of Physical Education in Manhattan and taught physical education in the Passaic, New Jersey Public School System. She lived in Passaic for most of her life and became active in Temple Emanu-El where she served as past president of the Sisterhood. She was also a former chairwoman of the United Jewish Appeal Women's Division and a Life Member of the Beth Israel Hospital; Daughters of Miriam; Hadassah; and the Passaic Section of the National Council of Jewish Women.
As philanthropists, Mrs. Kramer and her husband were supporters of numerous charitable and educational organizations, including the Joseph L. Morse Geriatric Center of West Palm Beach; Schepens Retina Eye Research Institute of Boston; the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts; Cornell Medical Center Partners in Medicine, New York; Simon Weisenthal Center; U.S. Holocaust Museum, Washington, D.C.; Israel Cancer, U.S.A., Palm Beach; St. Mary's Medical Center, West Palm Beach; Kramer Judaica Library, Temple Emanu-El, Palm Beach; American Friends of Tel Aviv University; and the Jewish Theological Seminary of New York Chancellor's Council.
Mrs. Kramer is predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty-six years, Harold Kramer; and survived by her loving family; sons, George, Frederick and Arthur; and eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Chapel services will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014, 10 AM at Jewish Memorial Chapel, 841 Allwood Road, Clifton, New Jersey (www.jewishmemorialchapel.org) followed by interment at Riverside Cemetery in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
