Albert A. age 84 of Hawthorne died Friday, September 19, 2014. Born in Paterson he lived in Hawthorne before moving to Wyckoff two years ago. Albert was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony R. C. Church, Hawthorne, NJ. Before his retirement Albert was a baker for Wonder Bread, Paterson, NJ and after that he was a Crossing Guard for the Wyckoff Police Dept. Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Charlotte (nee Daut) Riffel, his children, Daniel Riffel and his wife Nancy, of Ramsey, Doreen King of Pompton Plains, and Albert Riffel Jr. of Hawthorne. Also surviving are his six grandchildren, Kristen Reidy, Kylah Massey, Sharyn Riffel, Jasalyn DeRyke, Sean Riffel and Deanna Riffel, his six great grandchildren, Alex, Rachel, Joseph, Brendan, Thomas, Charlotte and his brother, Francis Riffel of New York.
