Albert Urbanovich Obituary
Albert Joseph Urbanovich, 85, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away May 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. Prior to moving to Arizona, Albert was a resident of Wayne, NJ for almost 50 years.
He was born March 29, 1932 in Kingston, PA to the late Anthony Joseph Urbanovich and Mary Geraltowski Urbanovich Mizenko.
Albert was a veteran of the Korean War, having served as a Sergeant and received the Purple Heart.
He was a volunteer fireman, serving in Swoyersville, PA and Hawthorne, NJ Fire Company No. 3. He retired as a pressman from Mobay Chemical in Haledon, NJ, where he also served on the company fire brigade. Albert was a member of Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, NJ for many years, serving as an usher. Family and friends remember him for his sense of humor, kind heart and willingness to help others in need.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores Urbanovich (Scottsdale, AZ); his son Anthony Urbanovich and his wife Ilyne (Scottsdale, AZ); his daughter Helene McKnight and her husband James (Wayne, NJ); his daughter Mary-Ann Urbanovich (Audubon, PA); his grandchildren Alex Gibson (San Diego, CA), Danielle and Timothy McKnight (Wayne, NJ).
A private family viewing was held at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary in Scottsdale, AZ. A celebration of life will be held at Wroblewski Funeral Home in Forty Fort, PA on Saturday, June 24, 2017. The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service from 3-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the charity of your choosing.
