Aldo Cestra

Aldo Cestra, 93 of Haledon, NJ passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2107. He came to the United States in 1940 at the age of 16 and a half by ship from Giglio, Province de Frosione, Italy and arrived in New York to meet his father and start his life. He moved to Paterson and a few years later and he met and he married his love, Laura Fiorenzo. They moved and has resided in Haledon, since 1971.

He loved his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to him. He also loved sports and was a big fan of the Yankees and the Giants.

He worked as a Top Presser in the Garment Industry for over 50 years in Paterson and Passaic, retiring from E&S Sportswear. Beloved husband of the late Laura Cestra (nee Fiorenzo). Devoted father of Cathy Cestra-Nadzan, Allen Cestra and his wife Brenda and Diane Wehner and her husband Jack. Loving grandfather of Allen, Shaun, Matthew and Brendan Cestra and Cyle Nadzan. Dear brother of Renato and Santina Cestra. Cherished god father of Tina Giraldi. Aslo survived by several nieces and nephews.
