Alfred Paolillo Obituary

PAOLILLO - Alfred Richard ("Al"), 74, of Old Tappan, on Wednesday, January 19, 2005. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Gallant) for 44 years. Devoted father of Francis Paolillo of Mahwah, Jeanmarie Paolillo of NYC, Susan Brown of NYC, Christine Illes of Ramsey, Douglas Paolillo of NYC, and James Paolillo of Brooklyn, NY. Loving father-in-law of Jeanne Paolillo, Steve Brown, Todd Illes and Christa Paolillo. Adored grandpa of Harry, Justin and Charlie Illes, Lauren Paolillo, Matthew and Owen Brown, and Grace and Alexandra Paolillo. Dear brother of Jessie Baraket of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Predeceased by two brothers and one sister. After a tenure of 31 years, Mr. Paolillo retired in 1997 from IBJ Schroder Bank & Trust in NYC, where he had been senior vice president/managing director. In his retirement, he was a member of the OT Golf Club, and was an avid (and sometimes frustrated) golfer. He was a true sports fan, with a passion for baseball. He was active in various community activities, and was, at different times in the 1980's, the president of the OT Men's Softball League and the president of OT Little League Baseball. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Mr. Paolillo's memory. Visting will take place at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ (201)767-3050, on Saturday, January 22, 2005, between 7-9 PM, and on Sunday, January 23, 2005, between 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 23, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Pius X RC Church, 268 Old Tappan Road in Old Tappan with internment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, Tappan, NY.
