Alice (nee Fanarjian), age 96, of Saddle Brook, formerly of Union City and North Bergen, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Said Foronjy. Loving mother of Dawn Donofrio and her husband Ed. Dear grandmother of Michael and Melissa Donofrio. Loving aunt of many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Alice is predeceased by her sister Lucie Baroutjian. Mrs. Foronjy worked as a hat designer and mender in the millinery and garment industries. She was a long time parishioner of Holy Cross Armenian Church in Union City and recently a parishioner of St. Leon Armenian Church in Fair Lawn. She was the oldest living member of the Women's Guild at Holy Cross and devoted many years of service to the organization. Alice was also a member of the Saddle Brook Golden Agers for 20 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Kugler Community Funeral Home, 311 Fifth Street, Saddle Brook on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 9 AM and Church Service to immediately follow at St. Leon Armenian Church, Fair Lawn, 10 AM. Interment at Flower Hill Cemetery, North Bergen. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
