Ann Squitieri Obituary
Ann Squitieri (nee: Angelina DePalma), 92, on December 20, 2017. Ann was born on March 23, 1925 in Scranton, PA & grew up in Bronx, NY with 9 siblings. Ann's schooling was meritorious as she often skipped grades.
Ann married the love of her life, Joseph Squitieri in 1952. They lived in Leonia, NJ for 58 years with their sons, Alan, Louis, & Joseph. Ann worked as both Payroll & Business Manager for Double J Trucking Co., with her husband.
Ann was an avid solver of crossword puzzles, amazing homemaker, & baked the most scrumptious & envied cookies. The Italian Anisette Christmas cookies are legendary. Ann, Nini, Deeda, or Grandma, as she was affectionately called, was the heart & soul of the family. Kind, wise, loving, supportive, non-judgmental, & insightful, Ann was truly a special woman. She was loved by all & will be deeply missed.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Devoted mother of Alan, Joseph & wife Nancy, & the late Louis & daughter-in-law Alison Squitieri. Sister, Marguerite Fasching & is predeceased by 8 siblings. Loving aunt of; Rae Bugliarello, Nancy Laiosa, Rose Ludwig, Zisa Monteleone & husband John, Laura Palanza & husband Les, Deborah Little, Lisa Palanza, Nancy DePalma Zimmer, Mary Kimbark, Valerie Collins, Anthony Ferrara & wife Anne, John Palanza, & Robert Palanza & wife Patty. Cherished grandmother of Megan Squitieri, Erin Pagnanelli & husband Michael, Mark Squitieri, Amanda Warren & husband Edmond, David Squitieri, & Jessica Squitieri. Adoring great grandmother to Emelia Ann Pagnanelli.
A viewing is scheduled on January 26 at 12-1pm at Frank Patti Funeral Home in Fort Lee to be followed by an enichement ceremony & blessing at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
