Anna V. Ozzano

NORTH ARLINGTON-Anna V. Ozzano (nee Ruggiero) of North Arlington passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24. He was 94 years old. Mrs. Ozzano was born in New York, NY.

She worked for 15 years as a cashier for Thom McCann in North Arlington before retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Arts and Crafts Club and the Tuesday Senior Citizens Club of North Arlington. She was the president of the North Arlington AARP 3969 from 1993 to 1995 during which time she was happy to have had the honor of presenting the North Arlington Volunteer Emergency Squad with its first defibrillator and eye screening machine.

Mrs. Ozzano is predeceased by husband Joseph "Joe" and son-in-law Jerry Ford. She is survived by children Dorothy Ford of North Arlington and Ann Square and her husband Harry of South Plainfield and grandchildren Lori Matuszek and her husband Stephen, Doreen Ford-Wilde and her husband Gary, Edwin Johnson and his wife Rhoda and Jaime Golda and her husband Eugene. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Katherine, Joseph, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Dominic and Jake and sister Dorothy Palella of Florida.

On Jan. 28, relatives and friends attended the funeral from the Parow Funeral Home then the funeral Mass from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, both of North Arlington. The services were followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, also of North Arlington.
