BROWN Arthur Leonard, of Pompton Plains, formerly of Piscataway and Rochelle Park, passed away peacefully at his home on January 16th after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's and Alzheimers Disease. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 5, 1928 to the late Edward and Florence Brown. After graduating from East Side High School in Paterson, Art enlisted in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Mary Sikora in 1956 and together they raised three daughters. He joined the Sikora family business (Sikora Church Supply in Passaic, NJ) and worked along side his wife before retiring in 2001. Art was always there for anyone who needed him, was a caring and compassionate person, and always a gentleman. He loved to laugh, fish, and watch sporting events. Art was a loving husband, father, and cherished grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary and his brother, Robert. Art is survived by his daughters, Barbara Brown of Rockaway, Patricia Brown of Totowa, Theresa Calabrese and her husband Frank of Kinnelon; and his grandchildren, Frank and Nicole Calabrese. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church on Thursday, January 20. The family will receive visitors at the M.
